Orienteering Primer (FREE for guests)

Orienteering is a popular recreational activity in which the orienteer uses a map and compass to navigate quickly from point to point in unfamiliar terrain. Participants navigate through a series of checkpoints along the way. This program is designed as an orientation to using a map and compass to navigate for all ages. Our goal is to familiarize guests with the basic principles of observing surroundings and relating reality to map representation, understanding map scale, and working together to achieve a goal. After this intro, we hope that you will want to take on more challenging courses!

Cost: $25 per person
Availability: Pre-registration is required.
Duration: 2 hours
Ages: All ages welcome (Children must be accompanied by an adult.)
