Autumn is a beautiful time in the Blue Ridge Mountains to explore the local streams and rivers. This all-inclusive, fully guided trip is offered in collaboration with our friends at Headwaters Outfitters. Their world-class guides will lead you on two days of fishing and instruction and you will come back to beautiful views, crackling fires, and home-cooked meals at the lodge.
World-Class Guides
Located just a few miles from Earthshine Lodge on the headwaters of the French Broad River, Headwaters Outfitters have been the area’s go-to experts for local fishing and paddling for over 25 years. The highly skilled guides at Headwaters have experience fishing all over the United States and South America and we are lucky they call Western North Carolina home. They care about educating anglers (whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced angler), finding new and exciting experiences on the water, and most importantly, giving their guests great memories!
Your fully-guided fishing days will include a full day on Saturday and half day on Sunday. Depending on the group, the time will be spent in a combination of float and wade trip on private and/or public waters. You will get ample time with your guide as the ratio for the retreat is one guide to two guests.
Room with a view
After a full day of exploring the local rivers, come back to your warm and cozy room at Earthshine Lodge. Each room has a queen bed, loft with two twin beds, private balcony, and bathroom. The lodge is reserved for the fly-fishing retreat so feel free to explore Earthshine’s hiking trails, make use of the fire pits, or find a spot by one of our indoor fire places to warm up after a day on the water. Single and double occupancy rates are available.
Want to bring a non-fishing significant other or friend? They are more than welcome and can enjoy a restful getaway with beautiful views while you are out exploring with your guide (see non-fishing guest rate below).
Home Cooked Meals Included
Our chef serves delicious and healthy meals from the kitchen in the main common area of the lodge. We call it healthy southern lodge food, but we think you’ll call it delicious. Our chef plans menus to appeal to all so let us know if you have any food allergies. A hot breakfast and dinner will be served at the lodge throughout your stay and we will pack a hearty boxed lunch for the days that you are on the river.

The retreat rate is $1395 per person for a single room and $1195 per person for double occupancy. We request that you register with someone in order to use the shared room rate. If you would like to add a person to your room reservation who is not fishing, you can take advantage of the Double Occupancy rate for yourself and add them as an additional guest for $295.

*Retreats at Earthshine Lodge have a two-week cancellation policy. Reservations cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus 3% processing fee. Reservations cancelled less than 14 days prior to the day of arrival will be charged the full amount of the stay.
