Feel like you need a chance to reset, refresh and reconnect?  We think everyone deserves time to focus on themselves, especially now. Our Wellness Weekend is all about providing the time and space that you need to connect with yourself, with others, and with nature. No matter where you are in your wellness journey, we’d like to welcome you to the mountaintop for a relaxing, all-inclusive weekend of yoga, forest bathing, nourishing and delicious food, and much more, led by award-winning author and life coach, Angie Mattson Stegall. 

Friday, May 13th

Check-in begins at 3pm so that retreat guests may get settled in and relax before the evening welcome reception.  For anyone who would like to add on a massage to their trip, appointments will begin earlier in the day and last throughout the weekend. The welcome reception before dinner will allow you to meet your host, other program guides, and fellow wellness weekend guests. Our chef will kick off the weekend with a healthy and delicious dinner followed by time to relax and gather around the fire pit or sit out on the porch to enjoy the evening views. 

Saturday, May 14th

Greet the day with your morning cup on the porch with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. After breakfast, continue on your personal wellness journey with several optional break-out sessions throughout the day:

Chef Coe will keep your mind and body happy and fueled with meals and snacks throughout the day. 

Sunday, May 15th

Enjoy the last day of your wellness weekend with a Morning Yoga session with Clare Desmelik or take time to soak in the views or go on a last minute hike on one of Earthshine’s many forest trails. 

2022 Guest Host - Angie Stegall

Angie Mattson Stegall is an Executive Life Coach whose work focuses on her clients’ personal well-being, emotional intelligence, resilience, and interpersonal skills. As an award-winning author of five books, including “Make Some Room: Powerful Life Lessons Inspired by an Epic 16-day Colorado River Rafting Trip Through Grand Canyon” and “Notes from Nature: Tune Into Your Inner Voice by Letting Nature Take the Lead” her coaching practice utilizes the healing qualities of nature and the transformation available through powerful coaching. Angie is a Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and is a Certified Martha Beck Wayfinder Life Coach. 

Campfire Conversations

Campfire conversations with Angie are a time for introspection, to listen to others, and to really be heard. Using an intuitive process that is as powerful as it is simple, Angie shares invitations for each person to bring forward thoughts about what is needed in the moment, personally and professionally.

Forest Bathing

Forest Therapy is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Forest Therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to “forest bathing.”  Through a series of invitations, you’ll have the opportunity to be fully present, deepening your connection with nature and community, and enjoying the many gifts nature has to offer.

Morning Yoga

Clare’s outdoor yoga sessions will provide retreat guests the time to recenter themselves while surrounded with the beauty and calm of nature. She trusts in the power of a deep breath and feels that anyone’s emotional, physical, or mental health will benefit from the process of using their breath to connect body and mind. Clare brings an approachable, revitalizing vibe to her yoga classes and adjusts her class to multi-level abilities.

Creating Your Own Sacred Space

In this session, we are going to touch on how our environment affects our energy.  We will discuss different types of crystals and the process of smudging using Palo Santo and sage. We will make and also learn how to use our Sacred Nests bundle to enhance our space vibration and to better connect with our own self.

Make Time to Focus on Your Wellbeing

The Mind & Body Wellness Weekend includes a private room at Earthshine Lodge for two nights and all meals onsite. All programs are optional and included in the price. 

The retreat rate is $875 per person for a single room. If you plan on sharing a room with a friend or loved one, the rate is $650 per person. Please include this information in the notes section when you book. We request that you register with someone in order to use the shared room rate.

Optional Add-Ons

MassageAdd a massage on to your stay (available starting at 1pm on Friday through the end of the retreat on Sunday). 

Llama Hikes – Extend your weekend with a llama hike on Sunday (offered at 11am and 1:30pm). 

Wine & Local Craft Brews – Your rate includes non-alcoholic beverages throughout the weekend and a drink with the welcome reception. If you would like to order additional wine or beer, we can add this on your room charges on site.
