Why rush your wedding? Imagine having an entire weekend to laugh, dance, sit by a crackling fire, gasp at shooting stars and celebrate your marriage on a gorgeous, 76-acre mountaintop property...just you and your favorite people. This is what an Earthshine wedding looks like!
Your Own Private Mountain
We think weddings are pretty special occasions, and we treat them that way. Weekend wedding parties have the entire 76-acre property to themselves from 3pm on Friday until 11am on Sunday. We want you to soak up your time with family and friends! We won’t rush you off to make room for the next wedding and you don’t have to share the space with other guests.
Rustic Lodging
Your weekend includes eight guest rooms in our Lodge and our three Sunrise Cottage units, sleeping up to 48 people. If you choose, guests can book their rooms through us at a rate of your choice and we’ll deduct that amount from your total cost. Is your crew full of outdoor lovers? If so, guests can pitch a tent and camp.
An Intimate Celebration
We’ve got a large property, but we’re not a huge wedding venue. We limit our weddings to 60 people, to ensure that you and your guests have the perfect, intimate mountaintop wedding experience.
Amazing Food
We take the stress out of meals with in-house catering by our talented chef. Pig pickin’ by a campfire? We've got you. Locally-grown new southern cuisine? We can do that, too...and everything in between. We can take care of all your meals, starting with your rehearsal dinner Friday night through a farewell Sunday brunch.
Views for Days
Everywhere on the property, you’ll be surrounded by mountains, lush forests, and stunning sunrises and sunsets. From Top Knoll at Earthshine, you feel like you’re on top of the world as you take in unbroken views of the Blue Ridge mountains; a perfect backdrop for a small wedding. Our stone patio is the perfect place to soak in sunset by a campfire...and you don’t have to even get out of bed to watch the sunrise over mountain peaks in our East Cottage.
On Site Activities
Create memories with your friends and family on a llama hike (llama selfies!). Blacksmithing and Brews makes a great bachelor or bachelorette party. Or invite your wedding crew to try archery or tomahawk throwing! Weddings are supposed to be fun, right?
Western North Carolina is world-famous for its smorgasbord of outdoor adventure opportunities and Transylvania County is known for being the “Land of Waterfalls.” Earthshine is just a short drive from hundreds of waterfalls, miles of hiking and biking trails, and beautiful mountain rivers. Wedding Details

$10,000 for the weekend, April-October, $6,500 for the weekend November-March. Rental starts at 3pm Friday and ends 11am Sunday, and includes eight lodge rooms (sleeping up to 4 per room) and three cottage units. East Cottage sleeps six and has a full kitchen. Center and West Cottages sleep four and have kitchenettes. You can choose to have guests book rooms through us at a rate you set to reduce your total cost (example: 10 rooms at $150/night = $3,000 off the total.) Compare that with every couple spending hundreds on dollars on a hotel far away from your venue, and we’d consider that a wedding win!

Food and Alcohol – Our chef can cater starting with a Friday rehearsal dinner, brunch on Saturday and Sunday, hors d’oeuvres and wedding dinner Saturday night. For Friday-Sunday (guests staying on property) prices start at $150/person. Wedding guests (Saturday dinner only) prices start at $75/person. Meal prices include eclectic mountain lodge utensils and dishware. Our dining room can accommodate up to 60 guests. 

We carry a license to serve beer, wine and hard cider, and provide a bartender Friday and Saturday nights from 4pm-11pm, cost is $4-$6 per drink. Our state license prohibits outside alcohol in common areas of the lodge and property, though guests may enjoy their own beverages in their rooms. 

We have several excellent locations on our property for your outdoor ceremony, and many more for breathtaking wedding photos! With the whole property to yourselves, you can enjoy hiking our trails, relaxing in a hammock, and sitting with friends and family around a campfire or Lodge fireplace. We’ll provide an on-site host for anything that comes up, and our rooms include all linens and bedding. We have parking for up to 50 vehicles on property, and can connect you with local tent and chair rental companies if you choose to go that route. You can even invite your more adventurous friends to camp on the property to get the most out of the weekend!

Earthshine ammenities include: Stereo with RCA and Bluetooth conections, indoor and deck seating for up to 60 people, two stone fireplaces, multiple outdoor fire bowls/pits, horseshoe pit, one gas and one charcoal grill and grill tools, basic WiFi, climate controlled cottage and lodge guest rooms, hiking trails, hammocks, sandbox/play area for kids and local area/outfitter and guide information.

You’re responsible for bringing the wedding stoke, and these other things too: outside furniture, tents, canopies, etc., your officiant, snacks and lunch food (if you choose not to add lunch in your meal package), linens, flowers and decorations, photographer, DJ/band, and of course, don’t forget the rings! We have suggestions for many of these, so don’t hesitate to ask for help!
