Summer Solstice in Song – Open to the Public

People across the world celebrate the longest day of the year with music and we are joining in! You are invited to an evening of music and storytelling with two amazing singer/ songwriters. You do not need tickets to come to the show, but donations will be accepted. A food truck will be available starting at 6pm (if you are staying on site, your meal from the food truck is on us!) and the music will start at 7pm. Be our guest with an evening full of music!

Make a night of it – the lodge and cottage are open for overnight reservations so book a stay and enjoy the concert while you are here!

Lillie Syracuse
Lillie honed her craft in Nashville, TN, where she wrote and released her debut album Coming Up Diamonds in 2020, with producer and Grammy-nominated drummer Mike Marsh (The Avett Brothers, Dashboard Confessional). It was growing up in Pumpkintown, SC, the cradle of Table Rock Mountain, where Lillie’s heart was woven from the forests’ moss-covered trees, waterfalls, birdsong, and red mountain clay. The Appalachian Mountains have now called Lillie home. She lives in Brevard, NC where she writes and records new music for release in 2023. 

Mitch Barrett
Mitch Barrett is returning to Earthshine Lodge for the second year. Remaining true to his traditional roots, Mitch Barrett has created a contemporary understanding that reaches beyond his Appalachian heritage to the music that today is called Americana. Mitch is a versatile and riveting storyteller of Appalachian tales. His storytelling resonates with humor and poignancy. At any given performance, his show is filled with Jack tales, tunes on the dulcimer and guitar, and great reflections on his life and the traditions of his mountain home. Mitch Barrett is Kentucky’s most awarded singer, songwriter and storyteller. His songwriting talent has won many of awards across the country.
